4 fennel bulbs, 4 small or 2 large (1 1/2 to 2 pounds)
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 shallots, minced, small
3 tablespoons tarragon, chopped fresh, or basil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1. Cut the stalks and outside leaves off the fennel. (Reserve the stalks for another use, such as the Fennel-Grilled Bass. Cut each bulb lengthwise into 1/2-inch-wide slices through the narrow side.

2. Combine the oil, vinegar, honey, garlic, shallots, and tarragon in a large nonreactive bowl and whisk to mix. Add the fennel and toss to coat thoroughly. Cover and let marinate for 2 hours, not necessarily in the refrigerator.

3. Preheat the grill to high.

4. When ready to cook, remove the fennel slices from the marinade, arrange on the hot grate, and grill, turning with tongs until just tender, 8 to 16 minutes in all, seasoning with salt and pepper. Toss the grilled fennel with any remaining marinade and serve warm or at room temperature.

2. All my seeds are stored at 40 degrees in order to maintain a constant temperature and keep the seeds viable. Seeds deteriorate rapidly with temperature fluctuations.

3. All seeds are labeled with the date of testing ~ germination rate ~ weed content ~ and country of origin, as well as the lot # that you can verify.

4. You will never and I mean never receive seeds from me that were tested more than nine (9) months prior to the sale date.

5. You will in most cases receive additional seeds to cover the germination rate : If the germination rate is stated to be at 90% I will include additional seeds to cover this rate.

6. Seeds will always come with detailed planting and growing instructions ~ its important that you read these instructions as soon as you receive the seeds to see if stratification will be necessary in order for the seeds to germinate.

7. Seeds not being planted immediately should be stored in a cool dry place, preferably the refrigerator.

1. All seeds are shipped in a bubble wrap envelope.

2. All seeds have additional bubble wrap and/or foam peanuts added to protect the seeds.

3. Pelleted seeds are triple wrapped in bubble wrap to ensure they are still pelleted when they arrive.

4. Seeds generally will ship and be received within 5 days US only. Foreign countries shipments take longer
