Carolina Lupine (Thermopsos caroliniana) Organically grown, Carolina Lupine, is native to the lower Mid-Atlantic region, mainly North Carolina as well as the South Eastern US. It is also sometimes referred to as Carolina Bush Pea. This plant makes a great cut flower and is very hardy and long lived once established. The plant will come to you in a 3.5 inch pot. Soak thoroughly before planting. Description: This perennial grows 2 - 5 ft, and boasts long spikes of deep yellow pea-like flowers which resemble Lupines. Culture: Full sun to part shade, though it may be fuller in full sun, average, well drained soil, Bloom time May - June. Zones 3-9. Companion plants: Blue False Indigo Wildlife benefit: Attracts beneficial pollinators. Eco-friendly grower All of my plants are grown using earth friendly techniques, from seed collection to watering with rainwater. Pots are 100% recylced, some are re-used containers, others are made from recycled plastics. Plants are fed with PLANT-TONE by Espoma, an organic fertilizer and/or worm castings. I grow plants that can replace those lost to development in order to help sustain wildlife that depend on them. You can be assured that you are not getting plants from the wild, which is unethical and further contributes to habitat loss. ***Check my other items. In an effort to keep our native plants native to their natural range, we do not ship west of the Great Plain States. This includes Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii. If you live in these states, please do not order.Raven's note: I offer only healthy, robust, plants that I have taken great care in growing. I also take great care in packing them. If for some reason they arrive in poor condition, I may refund or exchange at my discretion. You must notify me within 2 days of receiving them as I cannot be responsible for them once their care is out of my control. Sometimes despite all efforts, a plant gets dehydrated during transit. Just set the plant in its pot in a tray of water for a couple of hours and this should bring it around. Please note that I may need to trim plants back to fit them in their boxes. This will not hurt them; it actually encourages further growth. Feedback Policy We all like to have positive feedback and I am delighted to leave you just that. However I like to be thorough and be sure all is well with your order before doing so. If you are happy with your plants, please reflect this in the feedback. Once I know you are satisfied, I will leave the same for you. If there is any problem, please contact me first before leaving a bad feedback so we can work out a solution.
