Seven Brides for Seven Brothers 1982 TV show with Richard Dean Anderson
Aired: 1982 - 1983
Complete Series - VERY RARE
A/V Quality is fair ..Certainly watchable...comparable to an old VHS dub.. I would say it varies from 6 to 7 out of 10.
A short-lived series that never really found an audience. Seven orphaned brothers working hard to stay together while running a ranch in the California Gold Rush town of Murphys. Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver) and River Phoenix (Stand By Me) played the oldest and youngest brothers respectively in this adventure series. The story lines were good as was the acting but the musical numbers sometimes got in the way of the story. Overall, it was an enjoyable show

"The dvd I received is missing parts of the movie - mostly the credits. This mini-series had a whole host of guest stars but there were only 3 listed in the opening credits and very few in the closing credits at all. One prime omission was that of Vic Morrow who played the Chief on the navy boat that was sunk. The omission of that made me wonder if there were parts of the actual show missing as well. Plus the video editing was clumsy - in one part of the second part there was a block of static then a violinist playing at a concert, then more static (like a VHS tape not tracking correctly) before the movie started up again. This could have easily been edited out with a simple video editor (I use AVS video editor which is quite easy to use and inexpensive). The packaging was well done and professional looking; I just wish the dvd had been as well done with no omissions."
