QUALITY - PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ AS I AM NOT REPONSIBLE FOR “UNASKED” QUESTIONS OR ASSUMPTIONS MADE:
I am a collector – first and foremost. I have been collecting for over 35 years and my video library consists of over 40,000 individual items (on VHS, DVD and Film). I do my best to offer the best quality items I can find but understand that nothing in a 40-50 years old TV show episode is perfect! Many old films have been locked away in film vaults, not seen on TV for 20-40 years or from worn out/aged original film prints stored in someone’s temperature/humidity uncontrolled attic or closet! Some transfers are not done professionally and some episodes may be from other sources of lesser video transfer quality. If you are expecting 2008 TV quality please do not buy. This series is for collectors who understand and appreciate the rarity of this show. Some things to consider before you buy: DVD QUALITY: I DO NOT cram 6+ hours onto a DVD at the cost of video quality. I also DO NOT use no-name cheapo DVD blanks. Yes, those discs are less expensive, and you save a few cents when you buy sets recorded on those discs, but many of those bulk discs will eventually freeze up, distort or just plain die! Yes, they will. Maybe not today but one day when you try to watch the disc it will be dead or the picture will be distorted. I know, because when DVDs first came out I bought the cheapest ones, only to find out years later I lost many hours of video when they would not play without breaking up or distorting. AND, be aware that a shiny silver-faced, including those claimed to be Taiyo Yuden (as cheap look-alike poor quality counterfeits are sold on "E"-auction sites for 5-10 cents each) or plain white-faced blank disc (with no manufacturer’s name on it), can be anything from the cheapest 1 cent bulk disc to an expensive disc. They all look the same to the common person and all you have to go on is the word of a stranger who is looking to make a sale! Does anyone admit their sets are on cheap bulk discs? No, they don’t! You find out when you get them or years later when they don’t work. All my DVDs are recorded on high quality, name-brand DVD blanks (TDK, Maxell, Sony, or Memorex), with the manufacturers name clearly visible on the disc, for the best possible quality. You know what you get when you buy my sets! There are no secrets! Items recorded at the best speeds and on name-brand discs - Quality always costs a little more and to me is worth it.. Consider that when you are comparing prices and buy a collection that will last and be enjoyed for many years to come! The choice is yours – It’s Your Money!
