This is a unique collection of various postal items, collected by a former Deer Lodge, Montana postmaster.

This set includes all of the following;

  • Strip of 6 'For Testing Purposes Only' stamps
  • Strip of 5 'Post Office Department - Officially Sealed' stamps.
  • Mailers Postmark Permit #1 on envelope with Badger 22c stamp. Postmarked Deer Lodge, Montana Aug 15 1987
  • Apollo Soyuz 1975 1st day of issue envelope, with USSR and USA stamps. Kennedy Space Center July 15 1975 postmark.
  • 100th Anniversary of the First Transcontinental Railroad, Last Spike Station envelope from 1983. With Montana Western Meadowlark 20c stamp, and signatures of Gold Creek MT Postmaster Catherine Hollenback and Montana Governor Ted Schwinden. Contains a Northern Pacific flyer.
  • Postcard - San Diego Padres National League Champions 1984, San Diego Station, CA, April 15, 1985 with Domestic Mail D stamp
  • Washington Redskins envelope - 50th Anniversary 1937-1986, Redskin Sta. Washington DC, Dec. 7 1986, with 2 Crazy Horse 13c stamps.

All stamps, cards, envelopes and sheets are in excellent condition.
