Everyone I know who has sat down to watch it has had a good time.”“This is a phenomenal television show for those children or even teenagers who wish to understand the world of science.  I'm currently in grade 12 and last year in science classes such as biology or chemistry we've watched a couple of Bill Nye.  These...”“I was skeptical when I first heard about this guy? I had watched the show in the 90s when it came out. But now, I have the DVD collection, and my little sister really enjoys watching it. I really prefer my sister watching BILL NYE as opposed to the other stuff on TV. This is educational and entertaining. She actually learns when she watches BILL NYE, and it’s not boring like other series are. And it’s much better than her watching other shows, from which she would learn bad habits, or become lazy and disrespectful to others. This is a really great show, I recommend it to anyone of any age. The DVDs will not have artwork, and they will come in paper envelopes. There will be 12 DVDs, with roughly 9 episodes on each DVD. Each coming in disc envelopes without artwork/cover.

The Eyes of Nye:

The Eyes of Nye was a science program airing on public television in the United States in 2005 and featuring Bill Nye. The show is more sophisticated than its predecessor Bill Nye the Science Guy as it is aimed more toward adults and teenagers than children. The creation of the show was motivated by the success of the television program Bill Nye the Science Guy, and a widespread contempt among scientists for scientific journalism in the media. The program was broadcast by KCTS primetime, out of Seattle, Washington.

Visionary science educator Bill Nye, creator of one of the most popular and effective science shows of all time, is back! In The Eyes of Nye—his brand-new series for teens and grown-ups—Bill explores the science behind important and sometimes controversial issues, from "Cloning" to "Pseudoscience," "Antibiotics" to "Addiction," and more. It is more sophisticated than Bill Nye the Science Guy, but same comedy style instruction. It is good for middle and high schoolers.

It consists of 2 discs which contain 13 episodes, (they will come in envelopes/no artwork) each of which cover a topic. Here is the episode list:

1. Astrobiology

2. Pseudoscience

3. Addiction

4. Cloning

5. Nuclear Energy

6. Sports

7. Population

8. Race

9. Antibiotics

10. Genetically Modified Foods

11. Transportation

12. Global Climate Change

13. Evolution of Sex

Where would we be today without scientific curiosity? The eight-part series features lively and dramatic accounts of how the great discoveries of science were made, how they impacted the development of scientific knowledge and how they touch our lives today. Each episode of The Science Channel's 100 GREATEST DISCOVERIES showcases scientists from the earliest days of science who have questioned the underlying nature of the universe to the scientists of today who continue to examine what makes the human race and Planet Earth tick.

Nye's insightful interviews from the field with the day's leading scientific experts feature some of the Nobel Prize-winning scientists who have made great discoveries, including Professor Murray Gell-Mann, a Nobel laureate who discovered the quark (a fundamental particle that makes up protons and neutrons), and Dr. Marshall Nirenberg, another Nobel laureate who cracked the genetic code and unlocked the genetic secrets of the human body.

In the new series, Bill Nye also focuses on the greatest discoveries in different fields of study: earth sciences, evolution, biology, medicine, genetics, chemistry, physics, and astronomy. The list of 100 GREATEST DISCOVERIES was developed in consultation with the National Science Foundation and the American Association for the Advancement of Science and editors of its journal, Science, and covers everything from how the center of the Milky Way emits radio waves to how insulin balances blood sugar.

Join host Bill Nye as he recounts the 100 most important discoveries  and explains how each one has had a hand in shaping the modern world. Evolution & Earth Sciences: From the discovery of the dinosaur-killing KT asteroid to Carl Linnaeus' still-used life form classification system to the groundbreaking theories of Charles Darwin, learn how intelligent life began on earth. Venture beneath our planet's crust for a look at the powerful geological forces that keep life on the move and adapting  plate tectonics, earthquakes and super volcanoes. Medicine & Physics: With physician Andreas Vesalius's groundbreaking anatomical drawings in 1538, a new science was born. Witness the horror of a pre-anesthesia operating room, see how X-rays were discovered and meet the man who developed the first vitamin. Plus, learn how physicist Sir Isaac Newton developed his three laws of motion and travel inside the atom for an explosive look at Einstein's best-known theory. Astronomy & Chemistry: Copernicus first theorized that the Sun was the center of our solar system, but it took the work of Johannes Kepler to prove it. Learn why the universe is expanding and meet modern astronomers who gauge the likelihood of life "out there." Joesph Priestley initiated the study of chemistry in 1770 with the discovery of oxygen. Genetics & Biology: Gregor Mendel's work with pea plants pioneered the study of genetics, but it wasn't until the creation of the double helix DNA model that the field really began to take off. Hundreds of years before the first DNA test, "Micrographia" championed the use of microscopes and set the stage for the first major discovery in biology: microorganisms. Learn how the secret of the cell was solved and how starfish led to the development of stem cell research. Top Ten Discoveries: What are the 10 greatest scientific discoveries of all time? Find out which of the original 100 were voted by viewers as the most groundbreaking.

The set includes 5 discs, in envelopes without artwork. Here are the episodes/content of each disc:
