you can still start your clipper/trimmer with something NON-METALLIC (like a plastic pen cap) and cover the opening with tape while operating. IF HAIR GETS INTO THE INTERNAL ASSEMBLY THIS CAN CAUSE ELECTRICAL HARM TO THE CLIPPER AND RESULTS IN MOTOR OR CIRCUIT BOARD FAILURE.

It could be that the circuit board needs to be replaced. If this is the case there would be no lights visable on the charging cradle. Be sure to check the hair clipper/trimmer charging cradle for cuts on the cord from shears.

Also the wire may be loose around the plug-in pack or the cradle bottom.
