Issued in 1992 by the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, this was the world's first ever baseball trading cards on postage stamps, therefore appealing to two of the world's most popular collecting hobbies. This set consists of 12 different Hall of Fame baseball greats on large 2.5" X 3.5" vertical stamps with $4 (legal postage in the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines) on the front. The back of each card is like a regular baseball card and gives the career history of the player being honored. This is the first time that the island identified any postage stamps by its official name - "St. Vincent and the Grenadines" - by which it is listed in the United Nations and the British Commonwealth.
