SWAN LAKE (Japanese Anime - ENGLISH version)
The very rare japanese animated tale "Swan Lake" on DVD. A classic tale created by Kimio Yabuki. Great story about Prince Siegfried enlisting the help of two squirrels to defeat an evil wizard (Rothbart) to win the Princess Odette (the swan princess). :-) The animation comes to life with the music of Tschaikovsky. This movie was released in 1978 but continues to thrive on... getting attention by top animators even to this day. This is a great movie I enjoy to this day and that kids will love as well. This is in color and runs a full 75 minutes. Includes a very nice DVD case with artwork. This DVD is excellent quality. I'd rate it a 9/10 for both picture and sound. I was simply amazed by how clear the video and sound were. It is an overseas DVD (not from the US) and has a couple asian words written in the credits, but other than that, it is in 100% English. NO cheapo subtitles like other versions of Swan Lake I've seen. The best aspect about this DVD is there are chapter marks throughout the story so you can skip to your favorite part in a flash. Very handy because you'll probably want to watch this one again and again. The chapters marks make this a real winner vs the VHS versions. It is also REGION FREE! So it will play on any player in the world.
