GAME WORKS GREAT!
Original box and styrofoam, instructions.

Lots of enlargeable photos below so that your can see EXACTLY what you are bidding on in good detail.

Quote from Original Box and Instruction manual:  "Gus Glitz is the world's first laughing, joking, animated gameshow host with computerized memory. His state-of-the-art fun will lead you through ten different strategy and action games. He'll call you by your initials, praise you when you're right and razz you when you're wrong. The winner is the one with the most money at the end of each game."

Imperfections on this particular Mr Game Show unit:

Gus has a break in his bow tie ring (see photo) -- he works fine though.  One little black scuff mark on base unit - maybe use goop or something to erase.  Page nine of the original instruction manual has fold mark and tear on right -- does not affect readability --see photos for further description.

This game is missing: 1 of the 5 category cards is missing (Book Title; Place; Quote; and Thing ARE included -- these are more for show anyhow);  dry erase pen not present; cassette player connector from game unit has been replaced with a brand new cord.

All else in GREAT working condition.

1980's Mr. Game Show Commercial by Galoob

BoardGameGeek's Review of this game

1987 Time Magazine Article    "Not all the new talking toys are cuddly, cute or even particularly appealing. Galoob's Mr. Gameshow ($129) features Gus Glitz, a fast-talking, lacquer-haired impresario who stands atop a blinking, bleeping game board and hosts homemade variations on Wheel of Fortune and other word games. With microphone flailing and jaw flapping, Mr. Gameshow dishes out play money and bad jokes with equal largesse: "Nice jacket. Who shot the sofa?"
