Here is offered a DVD entitled VALERIE HARPER Interviews 2. It is the second in a series of DVDs that feature Valerie being interviewed or referenced, and the period that this DVD covers is from 1990. As many of her fans know, 1990 was the time that she was trying to come back with a new show, " City", after being wrongfully fired in 1987 from her TV show, " Valerie", which was re-named " Valerie's Family" after her dismissal and later re-named as " The Hogan Family". The interviews and mentions of Valerie at this time focus mostly on her re-emergence with the new show as well as the self-confidence that she gained having won her courtcase against Lorimar. The episodic breakdown is as follows: 1) THE PAT SAJAK SHOW (2/26/90) Valerie Harper talks about her then new show, " City", and movie, " Stolen: One Husband". She also speaks of how she remembers her time on " Valerie" with fondness. Betty White, Bo Diddley and William Shatner also appear. (Quality is 10/10) 2) THE MARSHA WARFIELD SHOW (1990) Guests: Valerie Harper and Della Reese. Topic: Women being assertive. (Quality is 9/10). 3) THE MARSHA WARFIELD SHOW (1990) Guests: Valerie Harper and Jimmy Smits. Topic: Charity and begging. (Quality is 9/10) 4) AT RONA'S (1990) Rona Barrett hosts a round table discussion with Valerie Harper, Malcolm Forbes and Michael Tucker about good food, homelessness, personal power, Valerie's firing from " Valerie" and the winning of her court case and Malcolm Forbes' journey with FORBES Magazine. The first 3 minutes are missing from this clip. (Quality is 9/10). 5) HANNA BARBERA'S 50th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL (1990) Brief incomplete clip of Valerie singing the theme song (albeit incorrectly) to " The Flintstones". (Quality is 9/10) 6) MEMORY LANE (1990) Brief clip where Valerie recalls her favorite memory: the first time she was kissed by a boy at the age of eleven. (Quality is 9/10) All clips come on one DVD in a single sided DVD case with artwork (see scans). The DVD itself is NOT labeled. I have found that the shelf life of many CDs and DVDs decreases dramatically when adhesive labels or silkscreens are applied to discs, so I leave them blank (see scans). There is a menu screen where you can choose which episode to play (see scan). Each episode is broken up in chapters of 5 minute intervals. All episodes are NOT from a master but from a transfer from when they were broadcasted on TV. All sales are final. If DVD is defective, I will gladly replace defective disc with new one at new cost to you. Due to how easy it is to duplicate items these days, I cannot and will not issue refunds once item is won. Please understand this before purchasing. If there are any questions, please contact me at: ejsnet1@yahoo.com I will do my utmost to answer any questions in a timely manner. Thank you. |
