Veteran Hollywood character actor Charlie Ruggles portrayed an insurance salesman and harassed hubby in this early family comedy, The family, which was the source of Charlie's dilemmas around the house, consisted of his wife, Margaret, teenagers Sharon and Chuck, and the cute twins Donna and Donald. Stories revolved around such gentle subjects as who got to use the bathroom first in the morning, how the kids got dad to go square dancing, Sharon and Chuck's first dates, etc.

The program was produced live at ABC's Hollywood station, KECA-TV, premiering on a seven-station West Coast network on Sunday, October 23, 1949. Shortly thereafter it began airing on ABC's East and Midwest network, using kinescopes of the live West Coast show. The poor quality of these dim kinescopes, and the constant movement of the series all over the ABC schedule, may have contributed to The Ruggles' failure to become a hit.

 

This collection is 3 episodes on1  dvd. Discs come in white paper sleeves with no label or artwork. No refunds due to ease of copying but will replace defective discs.
