Here we have the most sought after German Dagger on todays market. It is the WW ll German SS Dagger. These daggers were worn by Hitlers elite, the feared SS. This one is a early dagger. These early daggers were just so much better than the later RZM ones. The quality and workmanship was superb. This dagger has the makers mark; Gottlieb Hammesfar, Solingen-Foche. This is a very nice dagger that has it's original hanger. The blade has not been retipped or sharpened, just some graying from age that may polish out if you tried. There is one tiny chip at the very top of the handle, but no cracks or other damage. The scabbard is very nice with better than average fittings. The lower cross guard is correctly marked with a roman numeral ll. The dagger fits the scabbard like a glove. If you've been considering adding a SS dagger to your collection, consider this one. In a shaky economy, you can't do much better with your dollars. These SS Daggers are skyrocketing in value. I will consider offers of over $3500.00. Lakesidetrader has the same dagger for $5795.00. I accept cashiers checks and postal money orders,(preferred). International buyers may also use Western Union.
