As an understudy for Fiyero in the LA cast of Wicked at the
Pantages theatre, Adam Lambert didn't often get the chance to claim
the spotlight. His rare performances were, however, a treat beyond
imagining. This is one of those treasures.
For those already familiar with Adam's talent via previous
performances, this should come as no surprise. And with his more
recent appearance on American Idol, he's gained a steadily growing
and devoted base of fans - many of whom would never get the chance
to see him shine in one of Broadway's most beloved shows.
Until now.
Add in the brilliant work of Teal Wicks as Elphaba and Erin
Mackey as Galinda, and this becomes a performance not to be
missed.
Shot in Los Angeles on August 9th of 2008, it includes
impressively steady shots, many of them close up. There are
occasional blackouts as the cameraman applauds at the end of the
songs, but they are few and brief.
A must see for any Adam Lambert fan!
