As are the Ghost Towns of old,
Bodie, California history is withering away. We must conserve those
article of writings of this once wild mining town of 12,000.
Because this was printed before computer indexing, I index every
article I sell.
BODIE'S FORTUNA LEGEND
Here, entitled
BODIE'S FORTUNA LEGEND - GOLDTOWN U.S.A. by Bob Hooe is the true
story of the history of Bodie, California and what is left of it.
In it's day, it ws the most lawless, the wildest and toughest
mining camp the Far West has ever known. At the peak of production
in 1879, Bodie had a population of 10,000, fourty saloons
situatedMaiden Lane and Virgin Alley--killings were numerous, lots
of hangings and to enjoy the festivities, Bodie had it's own
brewery. Lots of valuable and little found and seldom read history
here.
I hope you
appreciate the effort.

My wife kids me
that after I find a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it,
take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the Ebay fee and
commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hour. But, OH
HOW I LOVE THIS OLD WESTERN HISTORY. What a story!! You will love
it as it was published in this old western magazine of many years
ago. The issue is in excellent condition, the cover in vibrant
color.
Buyer pays
postage of $3.50 First Class Postage to U. S., $4.50 to Canada,
$4.75 Priority Ma8l, $11.00 International Mail. Texans must pay 8
¼ sales tax. Thanks, Tom
