Why can everyone see my item negotiations?

All back-and-forth negotiations between buyers and sellers are publicly displayed on the item detail pages. However, post-transaction messages can be made private, visible only to the buyer and seller.

Public negotiations and feedback comments act as a safety feature for members to evaluate other members through their past transaction history. This helps potential buyers and sellers make informed buying and selling decisions. They also serve as documentation for issues and disputes.

Note: Certain categories (i.e. Mature Audiences) are not shown on public rating pages.
