Deep in the murky recesses of Amsterdam's famous canals lurks a murderous predator. Surfacing at night, he kills at random, disappearing without a trace. As the morning light reveals yet another ill-fated victim, mass hysteria envelops the city and Detective Eric Visser is urgently called in to head the investigation. With only the escalating number of mutilated bodies to go on, Visser pursues his quarry with a vengeance, unaware that his beautiful girlfriend holds the telltale key.
